We pick up where we left off to demonstrate the inclusion of the Thumboo helper from a plugin called Goodies. The team finalises the demonstration of the site and take questions from the attendees of LAPHP about the site development, and demonstration. We field questions about caching, UUID generation and usage, Editors preferred by the team, the CakePHP Textmate bundle and more. Questions were posed regarding the performance opportunity running CakePHP, and we use some CakePHP official sites example, as well as community built sites that are developed using CakePHP to demonstrate the high scalability and high performance capabilities of CakePHP. Further to this point we discuss server side configuration, and performance differences we have experienced from Apache, Lighttpd and Nginx. As this section finishes up, we begin talks about the changes we're made in the development of CakePHP 2.0, and where that development is heading.
