The final part of the CakePHP presentations at LAPHP from March 2011 takes questions from the attendees, and enter a free style question/answer session to clarify any points the users are interested in, and discuss some of the more interesting changes in CakePHP 2.0 in detail. Some of the topics discussed include alternative ORM and ODM packages, speed and performance, variable injection into CSS, movement towards the Data Mapper design pattern for the CakePHP model layer. The meeting finishes up with some community announcements, thanks from the organisers and community, and a general networking session after the talks are completed.
